Working within a Hitachiota City non-profit organization's project, I painted on a large paper together with first, second and third grade elementary schoolers from the Hitachiota Special Support School over nine classes. Excited to paint, they were quickly absorbed in the activity and painted using their whole bodies. In the completed painting, viewed as a whole, the traces of paint give off a forceful and dynamic impression, while looking at the details one can note the beautiful mix of colors. In the exhibition, this free and abundant world view was put inside a white, at first glance lifeless hill. Viewers would enter the hill and view the children's painting laying on the ground. Laying in such a freeing position inside the white hill, the viewer can identify with children's straightforward sense.
